About cannafadge

Eight years of equipping creators with the tools to tell their stories.

Our Story

We started in 2018 in a small Manchester workshop, repairing audio equipment for local recording studios. The podcasting boom was just beginning, and we kept getting the same question: "Where can I rent decent gear without paying broadcast rates?"

That question became our business. We began with a modest inventory—five microphones, three interfaces, and a handful of headphones—and grew from there. Today, we stock over 340 pieces of equipment and serve clients across the UK.

The podcasting and interview space has matured considerably since then. Production values have risen, audiences expect better audio, and video has become essential for many shows. We've evolved alongside these changes, expanding into camera systems, lighting, and full production services.

What hasn't changed is our approach: we listen to what people are trying to create, then help them get there with equipment that fits their project and budget.

What Drives Us

Practical Quality

We stock equipment that performs well in real-world conditions, not just spec sheets. Everything in our inventory has been tested in actual production environments before we offer it to clients.

Creator-First Thinking

We're interested in your project, not just the transaction. Understanding what you're making helps us recommend the right gear—and sometimes that means suggesting less expensive options than you initially considered.

Honest Advice

If you don't need something, we'll tell you. If a cheaper alternative will work just as well for your use case, we'll suggest it. We'd rather build a long-term relationship than maximise a single invoice.

Reliable Service

Equipment that arrives late or doesn't work is worse than no equipment at all. We test everything before dispatch, maintain clear communication about timelines, and have backup inventory for critical bookings.

Our Approach to Equipment

Curated Inventory

We don't stock everything. Instead, we focus on equipment we know performs well and can support properly. Every item in our inventory has been selected based on practical experience, not marketing specifications.

Maintained Properly

Equipment gets inspected, tested, and cleaned after every rental. We replace items before they degrade, and we keep backup units for popular gear so we can handle unexpected demand or last-minute emergencies.

Bundled Thoughtfully

When you rent a microphone, you get the cables, stands, and accessories you need. We don't nickel-and-dime on essentials—our packages include everything required for the equipment to work properly.

Supported Throughout

Every rental includes access to our technical team during your booking period. Whether you need help with setup, troubleshooting, or optimising settings, we're available to assist.

Work With Us

Whether you're planning your first podcast or scaling an existing production, we'd enjoy hearing about your project.
